Another reference says that they were married by the Rev. H.E. Waring.

OBITUARY: Name and date of newspaper is unknown. Relict of the late Abram Ottman, died at the home of her son, Charles Ottman, in Schenectady, Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1906, aged 92 years and 8 months. Death was due to the infirmities of age. The deceased was a native of the town of Cobleskill, and the last surviving child of Christian Brown, Jr., son of Capt. Christian Brown, of Revolutionary fame. There were four of the "Brown girls", as they were familiarly called, all famed for their accomplishments and beauty, and all lived to be over 90 years of age. The others, now dead, were Mrs. Maria Dow, Catherine Sloan, and Mrs. Elizabeth Warner (Betsey). (Don't know name and date of newspaper.)

OBITUARY: (Sent by Mrs. T.E. Jarvis, great-niece, Grandville, MI, Rte 1) Name and date of newspaper is unknown. In 1839, Caroline Brown was united in marriage to Abram Ottman whom she survived 20 years. For a long time they resided near Lawyersville in the town of Seward. The deceased was a member of the old Rhinebeck Church and lived the religious life she professed. She retained, until recently, the control of her faculties to a remarkable degree, and it was a delight to listen to her relate the experiences of the old times. She was ill, seriously, only a few hours and death came at last, peacefully in sleep. She is survived by three sons, Charles of Schenectady, George L. of this village and Norman of Virginia. The remains will be brought to Lawyersville on Friday, where funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church at 1 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery at that place.
